The story is packed with tactical scenarios, but the characters still feel real. I'm curious what guided the author's choices in pacing these elements.

I loved the space battles, but sometimes the diplomatic scenes dragged a bit. Was that intentional to show the complexity of interstellar diplomacy?

The tech feels very plausible and well thought out. I wonder if Evan Currie drew from real-world science or just imagined it all from scratch.
