The shapeshifter lore feels unique and well-developed. I wonder if the author drew from existing mythologies or created something entirely new.

The chemistry is palpable, but I kept wondering how much of that was planned versus spontaneous. Did the author intentionally build it this way?

The pacing felt just right for me, but I’m curious whether that was a conscious choice to keep readers engaged or grew naturally during writing.
