Don't Believe a Word

The story kept me guessing whether to believe her or not. I wonder if the author intended her perspective to be so ambiguous throughout.

The pacing felt tense and deliberate, but I’m curious whether this was planned from the start or evolved during writing. Did it heighten the suspense for others?

I found myself losing focus during that section, but then it picked up again. Curious if others experienced the same or saw it as a necessary part of the story.
