The setting feels so authentic and immersive, but I wonder what inspired the choice to set this story in that particular era and how much research went into it.

I loved their quirks but also felt their stubbornness sometimes slowed things down. Was that intentional to add realism or humor?

It added a nice layer to the story without overshadowing the mystery, but I’m curious if that was a deliberate stylistic choice or just how the plot evolved.
