The narrator's perspective adds so much tension and ambiguity. I’m curious what inspired the choice to tell the story this way and how it affected the pacing.

The backstories added depth but sometimes slowed the story down. Was that a deliberate choice to build empathy or a reflection of real-life trauma?

The isolated community creates such a tense atmosphere. I wonder if the author drew from real places or crafted it purely from imagination.
