The detailed setting and lore really drew me in, but I wonder what sparked the initial idea for this universe and its creatures.

There were some intense scenes that made me root for the characters, but also left me wondering how young readers handle such emotional depth.

The pacing feels just right, but I’m curious if Erin Hunter intentionally layered in emotional complexity alongside the action to deepen the story.
