The world-building and character development in Starsight feel so rich — I wonder how much was planned from the start and what led to the decision to turn it into multiple books.

Her struggles with fitting in and figuring out who she is really resonated with me, especially in a universe full of alien species. Am I the only one who felt this way about her journey?

The different species and cultures felt so inventive and immersive. I’m curious if the author drew from real-world inspirations or built everything from scratch.
