The depiction of shield-maidens feels both authentic and empowering. I'm curious whether real history influenced this or if it was mainly creative world-building.

The setting seems to amplify the characters' struggles, but I wonder if the emotional depth would have been the same in a different context.

The blend feels seamless, but I’d love to know if there was a conscious effort to keep the history accurate or if fantasy took precedence in certain parts.
