Shark River

The swampy, coastal environment adds so much atmosphere to the story. I'm curious if the author based it on a real place or created it from imagination.

I found myself wanting more tension during that part, but it picked up again later. Wondering if this was a deliberate choice to develop characters.

The internal conflict added depth, but I wonder what inspired the author to explore these particular issues within the crime genre.
