The story jumps between different periods of the characters' lives, which kept me guessing but also made me reflect on how past and present shape us. I wonder if this structure was planned from the start or developed during writing.

The book really made me feel the pain and hope of the characters, sometimes to the point of tears. I'm curious if others found it cathartic or if it was a little too heavy emotionally.
