The Underground Man feels so deeply personal and conflicted — I wonder which aspects of Dostoevsky's experiences shaped this perspective.

His introspections made me question how much of ourselves is shaped by society versus internal conflict. Was that discomfort intentional?

The disjointed style adds to the narrator’s instability, but I'm curious if this was a conscious choice to mirror his mental state or a stylistic experiment.
