Mariel of Redwall

Mariel's journey feels both brave and relatable, but I wonder if her personality subverts typical hero stereotypes. Did anyone else see her as more than just a brave mouse?

The way the animals behaved and interacted seemed so full of personality and humor. I’m curious if the author intentionally gave each species specific traits or if it was more organic.

The world-building feels so immersive and cozy, making Redwall a character itself. I wonder if the author drew from any real places or if it was entirely imagined from scratch.
