The principles in 'Lean Thinking' seem to stem from real-world success stories. I'm curious what personal experiences or observations led Womack to develop these ideas.

Some examples seem geared toward massive factories, but I wonder how adaptable these ideas are for small teams or solo entrepreneurs. Has anyone tried applying them in a tiny business?
