The historical setting adds so much atmosphere and context. I'm curious whether the author did specific research or if the setting evolved naturally during writing.

The methods and social norms really highlight how different justice was back then. It made me wonder how much of this is accurate versus dramatized.

Balancing character development with plot is tricky, and I felt the personal side added depth. I'm interested in whether this was planned from the start or developed during drafting.
