The traditional good vs evil trope gets a fresh twist here. I'm curious what inspired the choice to give these beings layered personalities instead of clear-cut villains or heroes.

The setting is richly detailed but also feels personal through the characters' perspectives. Was this balance something the author aimed for intentionally?

The magic feels so integral to the story and characters. I wonder if it was based on existing folklore or if it evolved entirely during writing.
