The mix of police procedural and supernatural themes feels fresh but complex. I wonder what inspired the author to combine these genres in this way.

The magic felt very layered, but at points I struggled to understand how it all worked. Did others find the world-building clear or a bit overwhelming?

There were moments where I felt the story lagged, but I also appreciated the tension it created. Did the author mention if this was a deliberate choice?
