Black Heart

The characters walk such a fine line between good and evil, which made me wonder how much of that was planned from the start or evolved during writing.

I loved the world-building but found myself wanting clearer explanations for certain powers. Did the author intend for some aspects to be mysterious?

The atmosphere is so immersive and haunting; I'm curious whether Holly Black drew inspiration from specific myths, legends, or personal experiences.
