The vivid depiction of Egyptian culture and history really immerses the reader. I'm curious what drew Christian Jacq to this era and how much research went into creating such an authentic setting.

The focus on palace power struggles kept me hooked, but some of the character relationships felt secondary. Was that balance intentional to highlight the larger historical conflicts?

The way the gods and rituals are woven into the story added depth, but I wonder if the author aimed for historical accuracy or a more symbolic interpretation.
