The revelations felt like they were designed to shock rather than develop naturally. Did this take you out of the story at all?

The confined setting amplified the tension, but I wonder if the author planned this from the start or it evolved during writing.

The characters' choices made me question what I would do in their place. Did anyone else feel conflicted about rooting for them?
