The setting feels so authentic, and I wonder what research went into capturing medieval York's atmosphere and how much was creative liberty.

I loved the vivid imagery, but at times it made the story feel a bit slow. Was that intentional to build atmosphere or could it have been tightened?

He seems torn between personal loyalty and justice. I’m curious how much of that was a reflection of the historical context versus character development.
