Murder at Redwood Cove

The small-town atmosphere really comes alive, making me wonder if the author drew from personal experiences or a particular place that inspired her.

The story had great momentum at first, but then there was a lull before picking up again. I'm curious if this was intentional to build character or suspense.

The book manages to be both funny and tense, which is a tricky line to walk. I wonder how much of that is planned versus organic to the story.
