Drawing Dynamic Hands

Hands are notoriously difficult to master, and Hogarth's detailed approach is fascinating. I'm curious what motivated his emphasis on this subject.

I've tried a few techniques but still struggle with dynamic poses. Would love to hear if others found specific exercises or tips that actually worked.
