The story picked up again near the end, but I wondered if the slower sections were intentional to create tension or just a pacing choice.

The setting really amplified the sense of isolation and danger. I'm curious whether it was inspired by real places or purely fictional.

It completely changed how I viewed the characters' motives. Did others see it coming, or was it a genuine shock?
