What Matters in Jane Austen?

The book dives deep into specific questions about Austen's novels; I wonder how the author selected these particular puzzles and what led to their prominence.

I thought I knew Austen pretty well, but some of the interpretations here made me see her work in a completely new light. Are there interpretations I might be missing?
