The detailed descriptions really brought the estate to life. I'm curious whether the author based it on a real place or invented it from scratch.

The contrast between the warm, detailed setting and the dark crime added an interesting layer. Did that balance work for others as well?

The shifting viewpoints kept me guessing, but I wonder if that was planned from the beginning or emerged during writing.
