The depiction of fae politics and culture felt so vivid and different from typical fairy tales. I wonder if the author drew from specific folklore or created it entirely from imagination.

Her difficulty in trusting others added emotional depth, but also made me question how much trust should be given in such a dangerous world. Was that tension intentional?
