The world Westerfeld created feels so intense and lived-in. I wonder what real-world issues or themes influenced the design of this bleak future.

Their moral dilemmas felt very real, but also made me question what I would've done in their place. Am I the only one who found myself rooting for both sides at different points?

The visuals are so striking and unsettling at times. I wonder if the artist had specific techniques or inspirations that shaped this dark aesthetic.
