The rural, isolated location adds a layer of tension and secrecy. I'm curious whether the setting was chosen to reflect the characters' isolation or if it grew out of the story's needs.

There were moments where the story felt deliberately unhurried, which made the tension even more intense. Did that pacing work for others or did it drag for some readers?

Despite the limited time, the characters felt real and layered. I wonder what techniques the author used to develop them with such depth.
