Steampunk

The stories feel so richly woven with real history and imaginative tech. I'm curious what guided the selection of these particular eras and inventions.

Some tales seemed to reflect contemporary themes under the guise of Victorian steampunk. I'm wondering if this was intentional or just a happy coincidence.

The variety of styles and settings kept things fresh, but I wonder if there's an overarching theme or a particular editor's vision behind the anthology.
