The book's lightheartedness really stood out to me—I'm curious if the author aimed to create a sense of joy and curiosity for kids from the start.

It made me think about how children perceive self-identity and acceptance. Am I the only one who wanted Stanley to realize he's perfect just as he is?

The visuals really brought Stanley's world to life, but I wonder if the illustrations were planned to enhance the playful tone or evolved alongside the writing.
