The pacing ramps up at just the right moments, but I wonder how much planning goes into the timing of those intense scenes versus organic development.

Their struggles and friendships really came through, making me root for them even more. It's rare to see such depth in a manga volume.

The art is so distinctive and memorable. I'm curious whether Ohkubo had specific influences or if he developed this style organically over time.
