The way the characters navigated privilege and reputation was almost uncomfortable in its realism. Did anyone else find themselves questioning who was truly trustworthy?

It added layers to the characters’ identities and motivations. I'm curious whether the author aimed to challenge stereotypes or simply reflect diverse experiences.

I found myself eager for more action, but I wonder if the slower parts were meant to deepen the mystery or character development.
