The way magic and necromancy are portrayed feels so detailed and unique. I'm curious whether the author crafted the rules first or let the story shape the magic.

The moral ambiguity made the story really compelling, but I sometimes wondered if I was rooting for the right side. How did others interpret the hero’s morality?
