The Scottish backdrop adds a unique flavor to the mystery, but I wonder how much of the setting was drawn from real places or purely fictional.

The story had some intense moments, but the middle chapters felt a bit slower. I'm curious if that was intentional to build suspense.

The characters felt very authentic, but I wonder if the focus on their personal stories enhanced or detracted from the mystery itself.
