The eerie atmosphere really heightened the suspense for me. Did the author base it on a real place or create it entirely from imagination?

I loved the tension between what’s real and what’s in the characters’ minds. It made me wonder if the paranormal aspects were just a manifestation of their fears.

The shifting tempo kept me on edge, but I’m curious whether this was planned from the beginning or evolved during writing.
