The setting feels so immersive and unique — I wonder how much of it was mapped out beforehand versus evolving during writing.

Her internal struggles made the story really compelling, but also made me question what I might do in her place.

I’d love to hear if the author intended to weave these elements tightly or if they grew naturally from the story.
