The setting really adds to the tense atmosphere, but I'm curious whether the author drew from personal experience or research to craft this world.

His actions are complex and sometimes morally grey, which made me question what I would do in his place. Am I the only one who found myself rooting for him despite his flaws?

The story kept me engaged but also allowed for moments of reflection. I wonder if this pacing was planned from the start or evolved during revisions.
