The world-building feels so vivid and oppressive — I wonder what real-world influences or ideas sparked the creation of this universe.

Their actions are often morally gray, which made me question what I’d do in their place. Am I the only one who felt uneasy about some of their decisions?

The blend of magic and societal collapse was seamless but complex. I’m curious whether this mix was planned from the start or evolved during writing.
