Darkness Beyond

The tactical scenes felt authentic but also slowed down the pace at times. I'm curious whether this was a conscious choice to deepen the world-building or a natural result of the story.

The characters are put in tough situations that challenge their values, which made me wonder how much of that was inspired by real military ethics or personal beliefs.

The universe feels richly imagined, with a lot of attention to detail. I’d love to know if the author drew from existing sci-fi worlds or built this from scratch.
