The story explores some pretty intense themes, and I'm curious what led to the decision to keep the romance so morally ambiguous and gritty.

Their actions are pretty ruthless at times, but I couldn't help but be drawn to their chemistry. Am I the only one who found this morally challenging?

The push and pull kept me guessing, but I wonder how much of that tension was planned from the start versus developed during writing.
