Chronicles of the Black Company

The bond among the mercenaries felt very real and raw. I wonder if real military or mercenary groups influenced this portrayal.

The Black Company isn't purely good or evil, which made me question how much of their actions I should sympathize with or judge.

The shifting perspectives kept me engaged but also a bit disoriented at times. I'm curious whether this was planned from the beginning or evolved during writing.
