The magic feels so immersive and unique — I'm curious whether it was inspired by existing folklore or entirely original ideas that evolved during writing.

The tension and chemistry build nicely, but I wondered if the pacing of their relationship development was realistic or if it sped up in the later parts.

There were some intense, almost grim scenes alongside tender ones, and I wonder how the author decided where to draw those emotional lines.
