I loved the way the characters felt both true to Austen and fresh, but I wonder what guided the choices behind their personalities and arcs.

The book subtly critiques class and gender roles, which made me think about how those themes resonate today. Did others pick up on that?

It added a new layer to the story, but I'm curious whether that was a conscious choice to bridge the gap between eras or a natural evolution of the narrative.
