The magic feels so unique and layered; I wonder if it was based on existing mythologies or completely invented from scratch. Did the author develop a detailed lore or let it evolve naturally?

The moral ambiguity added depth, but it also made me question what I would do in their place. Was that tension intentional to challenge the reader’s sympathies?

There were moments of intense action mixed with quieter introspection. I’m curious if that structure was planned from the beginning or adjusted during writing.
