The level of detail in the technology and design is incredible. I wonder what inspired the specific structures and mechanisms of the Ringworld itself.

While the setting is fascinating, I found myself wishing for deeper insight into the characters' inner conflicts and growth. Was that a deliberate choice?

The novel raises interesting questions about civilization and progress, but I’m curious how much of that was planned versus evolved naturally during writing.
