The lore behind the shapeshifting abilities and their society felt so detailed. I wonder if the author mapped out the entire mythology beforehand or let it evolve during writing.

I loved the character development, but some sections felt a bit slower. Was that intentional to build tension or just the natural flow of the story?

There are so many paranormal aspects—shapeshifting, magic, science fiction tech. I’m curious how the author chose which to develop more deeply.
