The Crush

The way characters doubted each other kept me on edge, but I wondered if it was a bit over the top or just right for the suspense.

The isolated setting added to the suspense, but I'm curious whether the author wanted to explore the idea of secrets lurking beneath normalcy.

At times the romantic scenes felt quite tender, but I was also hooked by the mystery. Did anyone else feel that the two aspects complemented each other well?
