Talking with Female Serial Killers

Most true crime stories highlight male perpetrators, so I’m curious what motivated a deep dive into the female side of these crimes. Did the author see a gap in the literature or personal interest?

Reading their perspectives was eye-opening but also made me uneasy about how normal some of these women seemed. How did others feel about the way their stories were presented?

There are so many female serial killers, so I wonder what criteria guided the selection process. Was it based on the most notorious cases, or were there other factors at play?
