The crossover feels seamless, but I wonder what inspired the mix of these two worlds and how much research went into capturing both tones.

The build-up was tense, but the actual horror scenes really made me jump. Was that the goal, or did the pacing evolve during writing?

The period details added so much atmosphere, but I'm curious if that setting was chosen to contrast with the cosmic horror or for another reason.
