The book spans from Roman London to the present day, which is ambitious. I wonder how the author decided where to draw the line and what connected these eras for him.

Those periods felt less discussed in mainstream LGBT histories, and I was struck by how much was documented. Did others feel these parts reshaped their understanding of queer history in London?

The narrative feels both informative and lively, which can be tricky with history. I’d love to know what choices he made to keep it accessible without losing depth.
